About the Role
We invite you to become a part of our dedicated team at a 9-bed housing and recovery service that also offers a planned respite service. In this role, you will work closely with tangata whaiora, assisting them in reconnecting with their communities, living independently, and achieving their personal goals.
This position is casual and operates on a 24/7 roster, which includes shifts from Monday to Sunday.
Responsibilities of the role may include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting tangata whaiora with their mental and physical health appointments and family connections.
- Assisting individuals in their transitions to independent living within the community.
- Collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensuring accurate documentation and actively participating in team meetings.
About You
We are looking for resilient, solution-focused individuals who are naturally energetic and passionate about exploring new possibilities. A genuine interest in helping others achieve their goals, learn new skills, and develop meaningful community connections is essential.
To thrive in this role, you will need:
- A New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 4) or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience with recovery-focused approaches and managing challenging behaviours.
- Strong personal boundaries and a commitment to recovery values.
- A full New Zealand driver’s licence.
