We work together as one united team, driven by a shared purpose: to enhance the quality of life for our residents.
About the Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated Cook to join our team at Rototuna village. This position offers more than just a typical kitchen job; it provides an opportunity to be part of something meaningful. Every meal you prepare will deliver joy, comfort, and nourishment to the lives of our residents.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and cooking meals for our care center, as well as short order meals for the café, following established menus and dietary needs.
- Maintaining an "audit-ready" kitchen by adhering to Summerset’s Food Control Plan.
- Collaborating with kitchen staff, care teams, and management to provide an exceptional dining experience.
This is a casual role, with work on an as-needed basis.
About You
We are looking for someone who brings a warm and positive approach to their work, along with:
- Previous experience as a Cook, preferably in a healthcare or residential care setting.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards.
- Certification in safe food handling (preferred).
- The ability to work confidently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
- Flexibility to work rostered shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys bringing people together through food, and is willing to go the extra mile for our residents.
Benefits
When you join our Summerset team, you become part of a community where your work has a genuine impact, and your individuality is embraced. We understand that it takes a collective effort to create a thriving village, and we value the uniqueness and diversity each team member brings.
