About the Company
We are seeking a dedicated Property Management Officer to join our Property and Facilities team. This is a permanent part-time position, offering 20 hours of work per week, and the salary will be paid on a pro-rata basis. The role is based in Ranfurly and primarily serves the Maniototo district.
About the Role
In this position, you will play a vital role in assisting with the maintenance of our Council’s buildings and land. Your responsibilities will include overseeing Council offices, community halls, pavilions, elderly person housing, and Council grounds. This role is ideal for a tradesperson seeking part-time work, or for someone with strong do-it-yourself skills.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Strong experience in building maintenance, ideally as a versatile tradesperson
- Knowledge of building structures, materials, and general maintenance practices
- Familiarity with various construction skills, including carpentry, plumbing, or electrical work
- Excellent communication skills, enabling you to engage effectively with a diverse range of individuals
- Proven ability to build relationships and work collaboratively within a team
- Strong record-keeping abilities, along with organizational skills and a commitment to providing excellent service
- A full New Zealand Driver's License
