About the Role
As an Aluminium Fabricator, you will play a key role in our operations. Your primary responsibilities will include studying and interpreting job sheet drawings and specifications to determine job requirements. You will complete work according to these drawings and adhere to the schedule set by the Factory Manager.
In this position, you will be expected to comply with company procedures and training in various tasks, which include:
- Preparing and cleaning aluminium stock for fabrication
- Cutting aluminium using hand tools and metal cutting machines
- Assembling parts and joining metal using techniques such as bolting and riveting
- Fixing hardware and cutting and fitting liners
- Glazing and finishing products by cleaning, filing, and polishing them for delivery
- Managing stores and raw materials, including waste by-products
- Installing aluminium structures and cladding on-site
Moreover, you will be responsible for checking and maintaining equipment and tools, setting up a tidy and productive work area, and ensuring that all necessary equipment is safe and functional. You will also report any significant maintenance needs or safety issues, assist other staff members, and help with loading and unloading delivery vehicles. Occasional stock takes and maintenance work on the premises and equipment will also be part of your duties.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, we prefer candidates with at least two years of experience in metal fabrication or a relevant qualification equivalent to NZQA Level 4. However, we welcome applications from individuals with minimal industrial experience who are eager to learn.

Benefits
We offer competitive pay, with hourly rates ranging from a minimum of $25.00 to a maximum of $30.00, depending on experience. You will be guaranteed a minimum of 30 hours of work per week.
Location
This role may require you to work in various locations throughout New Zealand, including Auckland, Northland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawkes Bay, Taranaki, Gisborne, Whanganui-Manawatu, Wellington, Marlborough, Nelson-Tasman, Canterbury, West Coast, Otago, and Southland.
This is a permanent, full-time position.
