About the Role
As an Electrician, you will play a crucial role in our projects across the country. We value organized and trustworthy individuals who take pride in their work. Flexibility regarding work locations is preferred, as you may be required to travel to various regions.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing electrical layouts to determine the appropriate systems and ensuring compliance with electrical and fire codes.
- Installing and testing systems to guarantee proper functionality.
- Repairing system issues and replacing defective parts as necessary.
- Working within the guidelines set by the Leading Hand, Supervisor, or Manager to meet time, cost, and quality requirements.
- Monitoring the progress of work and communicating any delays or problems to the appropriate personnel.
- Conducting quality inspections in your area of responsibility according to established policies and procedures.
- Understanding and adhering to safety objectives and policies, and seeking advice when needed.
- Collaborating with the marine team and contributing to the wider organization.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:
- Ideally, one year of relevant experience or a qualification equivalent to NZQF Level 1, although this is not mandatory.
- A friendly demeanor, excellent time management skills, and a strong work ethic are essential.
- A commitment to learning and professional development within the industry.
- Sound knowledge of health and safety procedures.
- Reliability and a hardworking attitude.
Benefits
We offer a competitive pay structure ranging from a minimum of $30.00 per hour to a maximum of $39.00 per hour, with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours of work per week.
Location
You may occasionally need to travel to various regions, including Auckland, Northland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Gisborne, Whanganui-Manawatu, Wellington, Marlborough, Nelson-Tasman, Canterbury, West Coast, Otago, and Southland. This position is a permanent, full-time role.
