About the Role As a Junior Structural Steel Fabricator, you will play a vital role in our projects by following engineering plans and blueprints to assemble steel structures. This position requires a motivated and results-driven individual who values quality workmanship. You will also have the opportunity to work across six regions, so flexibility regarding work locations is preferred. Key responsibilities include: - Following engineering plans, blueprints, and drawings to ensure accurate assembly - Assembling steel structures and securing them using bolts, rivets, or welding techniques - Installing structural steel components at various construction sites - Cutting, shaping, and welding steel materials to meet required specifications using both machine and hand tools - Collaborating with other trades as necessary to ensure project success - Performing repairs or modifications to existing steel structures when needed - Working effectively as part of a team Requirements To be considered for this position, you should possess the following skills and experience: - Previous experience in steel fixing, welding, fabrication, or related fields - A friendly demeanor and a strong work ethic - Good time management skills - A commitment to learning and developing your skills within the industry - An understanding of health and safety procedures - Reliability and a strong work ethic - The ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test Benefits We offer competitive pay conditions ranging from a minimum of $26.00 per hour to a maximum of $40.00 per hour. Additionally, we guarantee a minimum of 30 hours of work per week. Location The primary work locations will include Auckland, Waikato, Northland, Nelson, Canterbury, and Otago.
