About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Administrator to join our Fracture Liaison Service (FLS). This permanent part-time position offers 20 hours of work per week and requires collaboration with Health New Zealand (HNZ) and the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC). As part of a small, specialized fracture liaison team, you will provide essential administrative support to ensure that patients with fragility fractures receive timely assessments and treatments.
In this role, you will also engage with the national Fracture Liaison Administrator Group, contributing to our shared goal of enhancing patient outcomes through coordinated service delivery. Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Fracture Liaison team while collaborating with HNZ and ACC stakeholders.
- Coordinate patient appointments, follow-ups, and referrals to ensure timely fracture risk assessments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and data within relevant health information systems.
- Assist in the collection, entry, and reporting of data for national and local audits and service performance monitoring.
- Communicate effectively with patients, clinicians, and other healthcare providers to facilitate care coordination.
- Participate in the national Fracture Liaison Administrator Group to align with best practices and identify service improvements.
- Support the preparation of reports, presentations, and correspondence as needed.
- Ensure compliance with privacy, confidentiality, and health information management standards.
- Provide administrative assistance to the wider team as required.
About the Service
The Fracture Liaison Service comprises a small team that works collaboratively to ensure individuals presenting with fragility fractures undergo necessary risk assessments and receive appropriate treatment following national guidelines for osteoporosis and falls prevention.
About You
We are seeking an experienced administrator, preferably with a background in the health sector, who possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have:
- A Level 3 NCEA or higher qualification, or a professional qualification in administration and business such as a diploma or certificate in business or administration.
- Administrative experience within a customer-focused organization.
- High-level skills in Microsoft Office applications.
