About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Administrator to join our Hospitality Support Services team. In this role, you will administer a variety of essential services that are crucial to our operations. Your responsibilities will include providing front-line customer support at our busy enquiries desk, coordinating meeting rooms, issuing ID cards, and overseeing uniform distribution. You will play a key role in ensuring that our hospital runs smoothly while creating a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Shifts will be scheduled between 7:30 AM and 8:00 PM, Monday to Friday, and from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM on weekends. You will be based at Waikato Hospital.
Key Responsibilities of the Role
Provide Front-Line Customer Service: As the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff, you will assist with enquiries, provide directions, and manage the enquiries desk.
Deliver Comprehensive Administrative Support: Your duties will include handling general office responsibilities, data entry, report generation, and managing service orders and invoicing.
Coordinate Essential Hospital Services: You will oversee meeting room bookings, set up audio-visual equipment, prepare catering spaces, and manage uniform distribution, including sizing and returns.
Manage ID Cards and Support Operational Needs: You will be responsible for issuing ID cards and assisting with essential tasks related to linen, laundry, and cleaning audits.
Assist with Volunteer Coordination: Your role will involve supporting the daily monitoring, data collection, and recruitment efforts for hospital volunteers.

The Hospitality Support Services team is vital in creating a seamless and supportive environment for our staff, visitors, and, most importantly, our patients. Our department is dedicated to providing high-quality services, including meeting room coordination, audiovisual support, catering, ID card issuance, uniform distribution, cleaning and sanitation, linen management, washroom maintenance, facilities management, rural security, and volunteer integration.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need the following skills and experience:
- Proficiency in the English language
- Demonstrated ability in customer service, with strong written and oral communication skills
- Experience in administrative support, reception, or office roles
- Proven competency in Microsoft Office and other computer skills
- The ability to use initiative and remain organized and methodical in your work processes
