Waikato Hospital is a prominent regional hospital located in Hamilton, New Zealand. About the Role
We are seeking a part-time Outsourcing Administrator to join our team on a fixed-term basis for six months. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the surgical outsourcing programme by providing high-quality administrative services. Your responsibilities will include managing patient records efficiently and effectively, ensuring they are sent to private healthcare providers as needed.
Key tasks will include:
- Invoicing and reconciling patient information
- Maintaining data records
- Drafting, filing, and mailing correspondence for various department members
- Tracking, filing, and processing invoices for outsourced medical services
- Organizing patient notes for outsourced medical services
About the Team
Our team comprises five dedicated professionals who work collaboratively to support all aspects of planned care, with a significant focus on elective treatments at outsourced facilities. This includes data entry, updating patient information, communicating with booking clerks, and managing patient files and invoices.

About You
We are looking for an administrator with the following attributes:
- Proven experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Previous administrative experience in a healthcare setting
- A quick learner who can work effectively with a diverse range of administrative, clinical, and managerial staff
- A team player who is willing to support and assist colleagues
- Experience with iPM is an advantage
