About the Role
We are excited to offer a full-time, permanent position within our Faster Cancer Treatment (FCT) Team. This role presents a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on patients’ cancer journeys by ensuring they receive timely access to treatment in alignment with national cancer health targets.
As a member of our dedicated team, you will support the Regional Cancer Coordinator in identifying and tracking patient pathways. You will collaborate closely with Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialists across all tumor streams and work with FCT Multi-Disciplinary Meeting Registered Nurses to facilitate coordinated and effective patient care.
About the Team
The FCT team is part of the Cancer and Chronic Conditions directorate. We work in conjunction with other directorates to accurately report on cancer targets and improve patient outcomes.
About You
We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Experience within the New Zealand hospital system and familiarity with hospital processes
- Proficiency in data entry and management, with an ability to interpret data effectively
- Understanding of cancer waiting times and relevant standards
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools
- A tertiary qualification
