About the Role
We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator to join our Theatre and Anaesthesia Team as the Operations Coordinator. In this position, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the recruitment of Nurses, Healthcare Assistants (HCAs), Anaesthetic Technicians, and Administrators.
Your responsibilities will include managing multiple reports to ensure the recruitment process remains on track amidst the dynamic changes that occur in our environment. Additionally, you will undertake various administrative tasks to support the perioperative setting, which will constitute a significant part of your role.
The salary for this position will be determined based on your experience and will align with the PSA Administration and Clerical Collective Agreement. We also offer additional benefits, including KiwiSaver contributions (if eligible), professional development opportunities, and wellness support.
About the Team
Within our Theatre and Anaesthesia department, we operate 24 Operating Theatres, 2 Post Anaesthetic Care Units, an Endoscopy Unit, an Interventional Radiology Unit, and a Day of Surgery Admission Unit. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Charge Nurse Managers, Educators, Team Leaders, fellow Administrators, the Nurse Manager, and the Operations Manager.
About You
To be considered for this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of previous administration experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong organizational skills to manage priorities efficiently.
- A self-driven approach to completing tasks without the need for prompting.
- Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Competence in Microsoft Excel.
- A knowledge and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
