About the Role We are seeking a seasoned Senior Developer with strong leadership experience who is ready to step into their first Senior Management role. As the Head of Software Delivery, you will be a delivery-focused leader responsible for guiding agile teams with clarity and purpose. This role is ideal for someone who excels at transforming complexity into structured results. In this pivotal position, you will oversee our software delivery function as we transition our products from a managed package solution to a scalable cloud-first delivery model. You will lead a team of 12, comprising both New Zealand-based and remote members, and play a central role in executing our product roadmap. Your responsibilities will include instilling best practices, evolving the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process to support our growth, and using your coaching skills to foster the development of our team members. We are looking for someone experienced in Scaled Agile (SAFe), Scrum, SaaS, and cloud-native transformation. Key Responsibilities - Lead the end-to-end delivery of our SaaS platform roadmap utilizing Scaled Agile and Scrum methodologies. - Collaborate closely with the Solutions Architect, Product, Quality Assurance, and Customer Support teams to align priorities and ensure product excellence. - Introduce and scale delivery practices suitable for a modern cloud-native SaaS environment. - Provide transparent and confident reporting on key metrics to both internal and external stakeholders. Requirements We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications: - A proven track record as a Senior Developer, particularly in C# and T-SQL. - Strong technical understanding of cloud platforms; while we use Azure, knowledge of any major cloud platform is beneficial. - Significant experience leading software delivery in a SaaS and/or cloud transformation context. - Expertise in Scaled Agile (SAFe), Scrum, and agile planning at scale. - Experience managing remote and globally distributed development teams of similar size to ours (12 staff). - Ideally competent in C# and T-SQL languages. - A history of improving delivery predictability, quality, and collaboration. - Strong communication skills, with excellent stakeholder and team leadership abilities.
