About the Role
We are excited to announce an exceptional opportunity for a high-performing Operations Manager to join our team in Hamilton. In this role, you will oversee our Commercial Fleet and work closely with an established management and leadership team within a region designed to provide robust support.
As the Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the operational and financial performance across multiple sites and mid-sized teams.
- Leading a strong health and safety culture, ensuring compliance, tool maintenance, and daily practices are upheld.
- Overseeing fleet operations, which involves route optimization, truck management, and staff coordination.
- Ensuring that site and vehicle maintenance meets regulatory standards.
- Maintaining strong relationships with both municipal and commercial partners.
- Driving day-to-day operational efficiency and ensuring consistent service delivery.
Requirements
We are looking for an individual with a proven track record in health and safety performance, a strong focus on customer service, and a background in operational excellence. You should be able to create and maintain a safe and efficient workplace for our team and our customers. Ideally, you will have experience in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment where your organizational skills have been effectively utilized.
A company vehicle will be provided for this role to accommodate travel requirements across the region.
The key characteristics we seek include:
- Strong computer skills.
- Excellent communication abilities across all levels of the business, both in writing and verbally.
- Experience in interpreting profit and loss statements and discussing variances.
- A high level of business acumen.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in transport, logistics, or the waste industry.
