About the Role
We are excited to announce an exceptional opportunity for a high-performing Operations Manager to join our team in Hamilton. In this role, you will manage our Commercial Fleet and collaborate closely with an established management and leadership team within a branch designed to offer robust regional support.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the operational and financial performance across multiple sites and mid-sized teams.
- Leading a strong health and safety culture, ensuring compliance, tool maintenance, and effective daily practices.
- Overseeing fleet operations, focusing on route optimization, truck management, and staff coordination.
- Ensuring that site and vehicle maintenance adhere to regulatory standards.
- Maintaining strong relationships with both municipal and commercial partners.
- Driving day-to-day operational efficiency and ensuring consistent service delivery.
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record in health and safety performance, a strong customer service orientation, and a background in operational excellence. Your experience should enable you to create and maintain a safe and efficient workplace for both our team and customers. Ideally, you will have worked in a dynamic, multifaceted environment that has tested your organizational skills.
Key characteristics include:
- Proficiency in computer skills.
- The ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the business, both in writing and verbally.
- Experience in interpreting Profit and Loss statements and discussing variances.
- A strong level of business acumen.
- Experience in transport, logistics, or the waste industry is preferred.
