About the Role
As a Grocery Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the grocery department during evening shifts. You will act as the primary point of contact when managers are off duty, addressing customer inquiries, guiding staff, and maintaining store efficiency.
This position is fast-paced and physically engaging, ideal for someone who leads by example, sets high standards, and embraces responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Grocery Manager with daily operations and coordinating team activities
- Lead and motivate a small team to deliver exceptional customer service
- Address customer inquiries and ensure a positive shopping experience
- Oversee stock levels, merchandising, and staff training
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked department
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a supermarket or similar retail environment
- Proven leadership skills and a collaborative mindset
- Experience with SAP is a plus
- A valid LCQ and Manager's Certificate are desirable
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
- Current eligibility to work in New Zealand
