About the Role We are currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team. The primary aim of this role is to ensure that the building, surrounding areas, plant, machinery, and equipment are maintained to operate at the highest standards of effectiveness and productivity. In this role, you will apply your strong trade skills and mechanical engineering experience to meet or exceed hotel standards. You will coordinate and complete assigned tasks and projects with a high level of workmanship and timeliness, prioritizing guest requests. Additionally, you will monitor and contribute to health and safety in the workplace, follow and implement new processes, and suggest improvements for operational efficiency. Reporting through building maintenance software, you will also monitor the performance and potential faults of various systems, including boilers, chillers, domestic water, and air handling units (AHUs). Our Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is flexible and able to work a rotating roster covering both morning and evening shifts, including weekends. Previous handyman experience is required, along with strong trade skills and mechanical engineering expertise. A background in property maintenance within a hotel, retirement village, or similar environment is preferred. While you may have specific areas of expertise, we value teamwork and are looking for someone who is willing to assist with various maintenance tasks, from wallpapering to helping guests with their television remote or changing light bulbs.
