Ari HVAC Design & Drafting Services Limited is a reputable company located in Auckland. We specialize in providing high-quality heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) solutions for both commercial and residential clients across the Auckland Region. As we continue to grow, we are looking to add an experienced Air Conditioning Technician to our team.
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Air Conditioning Technician who will be responsible for the installation, servicing, repair, and maintenance of various HVAC systems. This is a full-time, permanent position with a guarantee of 30 hours per week, and the opportunity to work up to 40 hours weekly.
The role will involve a variety of tasks, including:
- Installing mounting brackets and sheet metal ducting, as well as cutting, bending, and threading piping.
- Installing and repairing compressors, motors, condensers, and copper lines for gas, refrigerant, compressed air, and oil.
- Connecting equipment by bolting, soldering, riveting, welding, and brazing pipes.
- Filling systems with gas or fluid to conduct leak checks.
- Testing systems, examining mechanisms, and making necessary adjustments.
- Maintaining HVAC systems by identifying faults and repairing or replacing defective components.
- Adjusting controls and reassembling systems as needed.
- Communicating effectively with team members, suppliers, and customers.
- Demonstrating strong initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Working independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Adhering to our Health and Safety policies and procedures while working both in the workshop and on-site.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must have a minimum of three years of experience as an Air Conditioning Technician.
Desirable qualifications include:
- A trade certificate in HVAC (Air Conditioning or Refrigeration)
- A clean driver’s license
- A Refrigerant Handling Licence
- A Site Safe Passport
Benefits
We offer a competitive rate of pay ranging from $30 to $32 per hour for normal working hours, as well as for overtime.
