Description
About the Company
We are L'affare, a dedicated coffee business established in 1990. Our journey began in Wellington, where our café and headquarters are still located on College Street. Over the past 30 years, our Auckland team has been based in Kingsland, and we are in the process of developing a new home base.
Our team is our greatest asset, composed of a diverse group of creative, industrious, and adventurous individuals who share a deep passion for providing New Zealand with the freshest and finest coffee.
About the Role
We are currently seeking a Workshop Technician to join our Auckland workshop. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing machines for both our commercial fleet and a wide range of domestic customers. As importers and distributors of Wega, Rocket, and Mazzer equipment throughout New Zealand, it is essential that we become experts in our product range.
You will engage with customers and tackle various technical challenges. While your primary focus will be on preventative maintenance, there will also be ample opportunities for fault finding and repairs.
Requirements
We are looking for an individual with a strong commitment to on-the-job learning, excellent critical thinking skills, and a mindset geared towards continuous improvement. A solid understanding of electrical and/or plumbing fundamentals is essential. Additionally, we value demonstrated attention to detail and accountability in a technical environment.
While prior experience in a technical role within the coffee industry is preferred, we are committed to providing industry-relevant training for candidates from other sectors who possess a minimum qualification of Electrical Appliance Serviceperson.
Benefits
Joining L'affare means immersing yourself in the world of coffee while taking advantage of exciting learning opportunities across our Australia and New Zealand UCC business. We are dedicated to your personal and professional growth, offering mentorship, career development, and a focus on your well-being. Our unique "recharge leave" policy provides five additional days annually for you to recharge in a way that suits you.
This is a full-time position with hours from Monday to Friday. You will also be required to participate in an on-call roster, approximately one weekend every five weeks, for which you will receive an on-call allowance.
