About the Role
We are excited to offer a permanent, full-time opportunity for a Team Administrator to join the Starship Children's Emergency team. This unique position is within the only dedicated Emergency Department in New Zealand designed specifically for the needs of children. As a Team Administrator, you will play a crucial role in providing clerical support for our reception service and the multidisciplinary team within the Children's Emergency Department. Your responsibilities will include ensuring excellent customer service and supporting the Department's workflow.
About the Team
The Starship Children's Emergency Department focuses exclusively on the needs of acutely ill or injured children and young people, from birth to 15 years of age. Each year, we serve approximately 40,000 children and young people, ensuring they receive the specialized care they need in a compassionate environment.
About You
We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:
- At least two years of proven administrative experience, ideally in a hospital setting
- Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of in-house systems
- Strong capability in MS Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent organizational skills and a commitment to delivering quality healthcare
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build working relationships
- A basic understanding of medical terminology (desired)
- Familiarity with health information systems (desired)
