About the Role
We are excited to offer a full-time, permanent position as a National Clinical Scheduler based at Auckland Hospital (Grafton). In this role, you will manage the national clinic appointment process, ensuring patients are efficiently guided through our booking system. You will be responsible for scheduling outpatient appointments for patients across Aotearoa and managing the waiting list in accordance with service targets, all while maintaining a patient-centered approach.
About the Team/Service
You will be joining the New Zealand Familial Gastrointestinal Cancer Service (NZFGCS), a dedicated national service funded by Health New Zealand. Our multidisciplinary team includes Family History Assessors, Gastroenterologists, and Colorectal Surgeons who work collaboratively to identify, assess, and manage individuals with familial gastrointestinal cancer syndromes. We also provide education, information, and support to families, including medical management advice and a colonoscopy surveillance referral program.
About You
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with a minimum of three years of relevant experience. This fast-paced role requires a strong aptitude for prioritization, problem-solving, and self-management. Flexibility and proactive thinking are essential, as you will be working in a dynamic environment. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with a genuine empathy for patients, will contribute to a positive patient experience.
