About the Company We are Te Whatu Ora Te Toka Tumai Auckland, dedicated to providing health and disability services to over half a million people in central Auckland. Our organization also extends regional services to Northland and greater Auckland, alongside specialist national services for all of New Zealand. Our primary locations include Auckland City Hospital, Greenlane Clinical Centre, and Starship Children's Hospital, all situated in the heart of Auckland. As part of Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand, we play a crucial role in the day-to-day management of the health system, with services delivered at local, district, regional, and national levels. We are committed to upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi and delivering culturally safe care. We value manaakitanga, as exemplified by Ngati Whatua, and strive to have a workforce that reflects the diverse communities we serve while achieving equitable health outcomes for all. About the Role We are seeking a skilled administrator to join our Radiology department and provide essential scheduling support for our team. This part-time position requires 16 hours of work per week, from Monday to Friday (0.4 FTE). The ideal candidate will possess exceptional learning, technical, and organizational abilities, with the capability to quickly grasp systems and processes. Collaboration with both administrative and clinical teams is essential in this role. Requirements The successful applicant will ideally have: - Experience in an administrative role within the healthcare sector (experience with hospital software systems is advantageous but not mandatory). - The ability to adapt quickly to cover colleagues during short notice or planned leave. - Strong customer service skills and a commitment to delivering the best possible experience for our patients. - The capacity to empathize and work compassionately with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. - Attention to detail, common sense, and effective problem-solving skills. - Strong communication and critical thinking abilities, including the willingness to challenge the status quo and contribute to process improvements. - Advanced IT skills, particularly in MS Office. - A positive attitude, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks while managing time effectively. - The capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Please note that we can only accept applications from individuals who have valid and full working rights in New Zealand (e.g., New Zealand Citizens, New Zealand Residents, or those holding an unrestricted work visa). Benefits We recognize the importance of work-life balance and are committed to supporting our staff both professionally and personally. We offer a range of services and benefits to assist our employees during their time at Te Toka Tumai Auckland. For further details on the benefits we provide, please refer to our website.
