About the Role
We are currently seeking full-time Structural Steel Fabricators to join our team. This role involves the placement, securing, and tying of structural steel components in accordance with engineering plans, ensuring both structural integrity and compliance with safety standards. Our positions are full-time and permanent, with site locations determined by project demands across New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret engineering plans and drawings to accurately place and secure structural steel components.
- Tie reinforcement steel using the correct techniques for various reinforcement systems.
- Collaborate with site teams to ensure timely and safe installation of steelwork.
- Comply with all health, safety, and quality standards on-site.
- Work efficiently within large construction teams under strict deadlines.
Skills and Experience Required
- A minimum of 2 years' experience working with structural steel placement and reinforcement tying, either locally or overseas.
- The ability to read and work from technical and engineering drawings.
- Strong physical fitness and manual dexterity.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and quality control in steel construction.
- Experience in commercial, civil, or infrastructure construction projects is preferred.
- Relevant trade experience or qualifications are advantageous.
Nationwide Opportunity and Travel
While this role is listed for the Bay of Plenty region, we are actively recruiting for positions that will be deployed across all regions of New Zealand based on project requirements. The regions include:
- North Island: Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawke’s Bay, Taranaki, Manawatu-Whanganui, Wellington.
- South Island: Tasman, Nelson, Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury, Otago, Southland.
We invite applicants from any of these regions, and candidates must be willing to travel or relocate within the country as needed. Please note that relocation costs will be covered by the company.
