About the Role We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated carers to join our growing team. Our service operates 24 hours a day, offering a variety of shifts including days, nights, and sleepovers, seven days a week. Our support ranges from companionship to palliative care, allowing us to provide flexible shift options that align with your skills and availability. Each shift has a minimum duration of three hours, but longer shifts are also available. At this time, we particularly need support during early afternoons to early evenings, which involves providing companionship, meal preparation, and assistance with personal care. Additionally, we are looking for carers who can cover for sickness and holidays, adapting to the needs of new client shifts as they arise. We pride ourselves on building strong, meaningful relationships with our clients to ensure they receive the best possible support. Requirements Ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications and attributes: - Recent experience in caregiving or healthcare is preferred. - A clean, full New Zealand Driver's License and access to your own vehicle. - Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills. - The ability to work legally in New Zealand. - A clear background and completion of a criminal check. Experience with the following is highly valued: - Companionship and home-help, including light housekeeping. - Meal preparation. - Personal care assistance, such as showering, dressing, and grooming. - Dementia care.
