About the Role
We are currently seeking a part-time support worker to join our residential home in Burnside, Christchurch. This role involves working 60 hours per fortnight across a four-week rotating roster, which includes both morning shifts (7 am to 3 pm) and evening shifts (3 pm to 11 pm), with weekend work required. In this position, you will empower our clients to achieve greater independence and enhance their quality of life. You will be an integral part of a team where each day presents new challenges and opportunities to make a positive impact in the lives of those we serve.
You Will
- Work closely with clients, utilizing your coaching skills to maximize their independence and encourage their involvement in activities, all while adhering to our organization's values and principles of active support.
- Provide personal assistance with daily living tasks, including all aspects of personal care, such as hoisting, bowel care, and administering medications in accordance with LFBIT policy.
- Receive training to support high needs care, including PEG/PEJ and tracheostomy care.
