About the Role As an Employment Consultant at Workwise, you will have a unique opportunity to work with individuals facing personal or health challenges. Your role will involve assisting these individuals in securing and retaining employment while collaborating with community mental health services, social services, government agencies, training providers, and employers. You will engage with a diverse range of individuals and their whānau, bringing various backgrounds, cultures, and experiences to the workplace. This is a permanent position based in Central Auckland, offering a flexible schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, for a total of 40 hours per week. Requirements We are looking for candidates who possess the following: - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect and engage effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. - A talent for relationship-building and achieving positive outcomes for clients. - A collaborative team player who can also work independently. - Quick thinking and effective problem-solving abilities. - A full New Zealand driver’s license. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Relevant experience in social services, addiction, youth work, mental health, disability, employment, career development, or similar fields focused on enhancing people's lives. While it is preferred that applicants hold a New Zealand Level 4 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing or a recognized equivalent, we do offer the opportunity to begin free study towards this within six months of employment. We provide significant support to help you complete this qualification, and we encourage you to reach out to discuss this further.
