About the Role
We are excited to offer a leadership opportunity for a Speech and Language Therapist Practice Supervisor to join our Community Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) team. This full-time, fixed-term position is for 12 months, based at the Greenlane Clinical Centre and Kahui Marino (Pt Chevalier Clinical Hub).
In this role, you will lead a team of dedicated and passionate Speech and Language Therapists. The position combines clinical practice with professional and operational leadership, service development, and continuous quality improvement. You will manage a clinical caseload while providing guidance and support to the Community SLT team.
As a Practice Supervisor, you will demonstrate strong clinical reasoning and model evidence-informed practices. You will also have the support of other Allied Health Practice Supervisors within Adult Community Services, as well as your Service Lead, Allied Health Clinical and Quality Lead, and Professional Lead.
About the Team/Service/Location
Our Community SLT team consists of both the Community Rehabilitation SLT team and the Allied Health Community SLT team. We provide therapy services to clients experiencing a range of communication and swallowing disorders resulting from various conditions. Our services are delivered in diverse settings, including community, home, clinic, and telehealth environments.

About You
We are looking for the ideal candidate who possesses the following skills and attributes:
- New Zealand Registered Speech and Language Therapist with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
- A full, clean New Zealand driver's license
- At least 7 years of clinical experience; experience in mentoring and coaching is desirable
- Relevant supervision training or progress towards completion
- Excellent clinical reasoning skills with a strong foundation in evidence-informed practice
- At least Level 3 or progress towards Level 4 VFSS competencies is preferred
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively in a multidisciplinary, bicultural environment
- Effective time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
- A flexible and proactive approach, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
