About the Role
We are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate individuals to join our team as Support Workers. In this role, you will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we support. Your responsibilities will include helping individuals develop practical life skills such as household management, meeting education and vocational needs, engaging in community activities, building positive relationships with whanau and peers, and assisting with problem-solving and coping strategies.
A natural ability to relate to others and build rapport with the people we support and your fellow team members is essential. We value personal qualities that align with our core values of Respect, Reliability, Transparency, and Responsiveness.
About You
We are looking for candidates who are:
- Compassionate and adaptable
- Resilient, patient, and possess strong problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team
- Enthusiastic about engaging with their local community
Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must:
- Hold a current First Aid Certificate (or be willing to obtain one at our expense)
- Have a full and current New Zealand Driver License (essential)
- Be eligible to work in New Zealand or possess a valid work visa with a minimum of 12 months until expiry
- Be available to work at least one weekend shift per week
