About the Role
We are seeking empathetic and passionate Support Workers to join our Community Services team in Shirley. This role offers flexibility to accommodate your other commitments, with various permanent part-time positions available.
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in assisting our clients to achieve greater independence within their homes and communities. You will provide both practical and emotional support, helping clients reach their goals and potential.
Your responsibilities will vary based on individual care plans and may include the following tasks:
- Meal preparation
- Community outings and integration
- Medication administration
- Personal care (such as showering and toileting)
- Home management (housework)
Requirements
We are looking for individuals who share our commitment to making a difference. The ideal candidate will have:
- A positive attitude and a genuine desire to help and support others
- A health and wellbeing qualification with one to three years of relevant work experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience using a hoist
- A full NZ driver's license and reliable transport (most positions require this)
