About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to join our Older Persons Physiotherapy Team as a Clinical Team Leader within the Musculoskeletal (MSK) cluster at Burwood Campus. This full-time, permanent position offers an exciting opportunity for a leader who is passionate about providing exceptional care and fostering professional development within a team of approximately 20 Physiotherapists and Allied Health Assistants.
As a Clinical Team Leader, you will play a vital role in our leadership team, collaborating closely with other Clinical Team Leaders, the Clinical Manager, and the Service Manager to enhance our clinical services. You will be responsible for daily operational planning and implementing service improvement initiatives within the Older Persons cluster, while also managing a clinical caseload within the team.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing professional and clinical leadership to staff within the MSK cluster.
- Ensuring high-quality clinical service delivery within MSK services on a daily basis.
- Collaborating with the leadership team and multidisciplinary colleagues to identify and implement service improvement initiatives.
- Maintaining a designated clinical caseload in MSK.
- Supporting and fostering the development of our Physiotherapy team members.
- Assisting the Allied Health Clinical Manager and Service Manager with the development, provision, and monitoring of cost-effective, quality clinical services.
About You
To be successful in this leadership role, we are looking for an experienced Physiotherapist who demonstrates the following:
- A minimum of five years of post-qualification experience, with a keen interest in Older Persons Health.
- Previous experience in leading a team and/or project management is highly desirable.
- Experience in an advanced practice role is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of local, national, and international health systems.
- Experience in training and supervising staff, with the ability to support the development of team members both collectively and individually.
- An interest in quality and service provision.
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori, or a commitment to learning and personal growth in these areas.
- Current registration with the Physiotherapy Board of NZ and a valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC) is essential.
