Whangarei Hospital, the largest hospital in the Te Tai Tokerau region, is seeking dedicated House Officers to join our team starting in January 2025. About the Role
As a House Officer at Whangarei Hospital, you will rotate through various departments, including Surgical, Urology, Orthopaedics, Medicine, Assessment Unit, Emergency Department, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Emergency Medicine, Paediatrics, Psychiatry, and Relief. We also offer community-based attachments to enhance your learning experience.
Working closely with experienced consultants, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills, manage interesting cases, and make a meaningful impact in our community. Our hospital serves as a secondary care facility supported by four smaller regional hospitals, providing a unique environment for hands-on learning and professional growth.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of one year of post-graduate experience in the New Zealand health sector or a comparable health system
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand
- Medical Council of New Zealand registration or the ability to apply for it
