About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Specialist with a sub-specialty interest to join our dynamic and close-knit Ophthalmology team in Te Tai Tokerau. Our focus is on delivering innovative and comprehensive Ophthalmology care to our community. A significant aspect of our services includes cataract surgery, so it is essential that candidates have experience in this area. Additionally, you will be required to participate in the consultant on-call roster, which is currently set at a 1:5 rotation.

About You
To be considered for this position, you must have or be eligible for specialist (or locum tenens) registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) in an Ophthalmology Vocational scope of practice. Candidates should either be a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists or demonstrate a commitment to achieving this as soon as possible. If you are currently overseas or not yet registered, we are happy to assist you in the application process for obtaining MCNZ registration.
