About the Role
We are seeking a Consultant Urologist to join our Surgical Department at Whangarei Hospital. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work within a diverse community and engage with a wide range of acute medical specialties. As a Consultant Urologist, you will provide safe, efficient, and effective urology services to the Northland community.
This role is primarily based in Whangarei, with occasional travel to rural locations, including Kaitaia Hospital, on a rostered basis. You will participate in an on-call roster shared among consultants, and you will be responsible for supervising and teaching resident medical officers within the urology service.

About You
To be considered for this role, you must hold or be eligible for specialist (or locum tenens) registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) in a Urology Vocational scope of practice. If you are currently overseas or not yet registered, we are prepared to assist you with the application process for obtaining MCNZ registration.
