About the Role In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others through the quality care you provide. With a growing demand for our services in the Hutt Valley, we are looking to enhance our team to support both new and existing clients. We offer 24-hour care, which includes shifts during the day, at night, and overnight, with a minimum of two-hour shifts available. Our services range from companionship to palliative care, allowing us to offer a variety of shifts that align with your skill set. We pride ourselves on having a dedicated office team that provides ongoing support and guidance to our caregivers. Additionally, we have a registered nurse available to assist you in your role, along with an after-hours coordination team to ensure you have the resources you need when working weekends and nights. Requirements We would love to hear from you if you have experience in the following areas: - Companionship and home-help, including light housework - Meal preparation - Personal care, including showering, dressing, and grooming - Dementia care - Palliative care The ideal candidate will possess: - Recent caregiving or healthcare experience (preferred) - A clean, full New Zealand Driver's License and access to a car - Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills - The ability to work legally in New Zealand - A clear background and criminal check Benefits At Miranda Smith Homecare, we feel privileged to support our clients in maintaining their independence at home.
