    About the Company The Salvation Army Wellington Bridge Centre is dedicated to providing safe, integrated, high-quality treatment and support services for individuals impacted by alcohol and substance use. Our approach is grounded in evidence-based best practices, prioritizing a people-centered, caring, transformative, and responsive service model. About the Role We are seeking a qualified Social Worker or addictions counsellor to join our community program based in Addington, Christchurch. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering comprehensive care to individuals facing co-existing challenges of addiction and mental health. Key Responsibilities You will be responsible for providing casework that ensures integrated care for clients. This includes facilitating group sessions and working within the framework of The Salvation Army Bridge Programme Model of Treatment. You will also implement the policies and procedures of the Salvation Army Bridge Programme and complete Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Comprehensive Assessments. Requirements To be considered for this position, you should possess a degree in Social Work or addiction counselling, along with excellent written and oral communication skills. A strong cross-cultural understanding is essential, as is DAPAANZ Registration. We require a minimum of two years of experience in the field and a commitment to ongoing professional development relevant to addiction studies. Additionally, you should have the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, sharing information and effective practices while maintaining confidentiality and privacy for clients and services. This is a permanent full-time position, requiring 40 hours of work per week from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The starting salary for this role ranges from $68,037 to $102,000 per annum. The final remuneration will depend on the experience that the preferred candidate brings to the role and is covered by the pay equity agreement.
