About the Role
We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our Permanent Relief Team (PRT). This team offers essential support across various shifts, including days, afternoons, evenings, overnight (awake night shift), split shifts, and weekends.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in improving the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will assist them with daily activities such as shopping, cooking, household tasks, personal care, and community participation.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for candidates who possess a genuine passion for supporting others, along with flexibility, compassion, and reliability. Ideally, candidates will meet the following qualifications:
- An NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 2 (or equivalent), or at least one year of relevant experience
- A full New Zealand driver's licence
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good computer literacy
- A positive and respectful approach to working with individuals with learning disabilities
What We Offer
We provide competitive hourly rates based on qualifications, along with additional incentives such as an extra $2.00 per hour for awake night shifts (11:00 pm to 7:00 am). Our commitment to your professional growth includes ongoing training and development, with support for completing NZ Certificates in Health and Wellbeing (Levels 2 and 3).
Additionally, we offer fully funded First Aid training, as well as training in Safe Manual Handling, Falls Prevention, and Dysphagia.
