About the Role
We are currently seeking full-time Scaffolders for various projects across all regions of New Zealand. This role offers a minimum wage of $26.00 per hour, with the potential to earn up to $40.00 per hour. We guarantee a minimum of 30 hours of work per week in a permanent position. You will have the opportunity to work on significant infrastructure and commercial projects. All necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and tools will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
As a Scaffolder, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Constructing and erecting scaffolding and working platforms for construction projects, along with building stands and tiered seating for public events such as concerts and sporting events.
- Inspecting areas requiring scaffolding and making calculations to determine the appropriate scaffolding needed. This will involve unloading materials, fitting tubing and braces to create frameworks, and securing ladders, rails, and other attachments.
- Checking and maintaining scaffolding equipment, ensuring the safety of scaffolding structures, and dismantling scaffolding upon project completion.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant scaffolding experience.
- A friendly demeanor, strong time management skills, and an excellent work ethic.
- A commitment to continuous learning and skill development within the industry.
- Sound knowledge of health and safety procedures.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
Nationwide Opportunity and Travel
While this role is advertised in Bay of Plenty, we are hiring for positions that may be deployed throughout all regions of New Zealand based on project needs. These regions include:
North Island: Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Manawatu-Whanganui, Wellington.
South Island: Tasman, Nelson, Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury, Otago, Southland.
We invite applicants from any of these regions who are willing to travel or relocate as necessary. Relocation costs will be covered by the company.
