About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our Contact Tracing Team on a part-time basis (0.8 FTE, 32 hours per week) for an 18-month fixed-term role at the Auckland Sexual Health Service located at the Greenlane Clinical Centre. In this role, you will play a vital part in our efforts to manage and support individuals affected by sexually transmitted infections.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Locating individuals in the community who have tested positive for infections such as syphilis and HIV, and facilitating their engagement with sexual health care services.
- Tracing and engaging intimate contacts of those recently diagnosed with sexually transmitted notifiable conditions.
- Actively engaging with communities exposed to syphilis and HIV across Auckland, linking them to testing opportunities and sexual health care services.

About the Service
The Auckland Sexual Health Service provides comprehensive sexual health care across the Auckland region. Our Contact Tracing Team is instrumental in identifying and supporting individuals impacted by infections like syphilis and HIV, ensuring they receive the care they need.
About You
We are looking for an ideal candidate who possesses the following qualities:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating sensitivity and respect for diverse communities.
- Excellent health literacy and a solid understanding of the factors contributing to health inequities.
- The ability to work independently while also being an effective team player.
- Experience in health, public health, community engagement, or related fields is preferred.
