About the Role We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Christchurch Hospital. This permanent role is part-time, requiring 0.4 FTE (16 hours per week), with shifts available in the morning, afternoon, and night, covering Monday through Sunday. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing care to our patients and supporting the clinical team. Your responsibilities will vary daily depending on the needs of the ward, and you will be integral in ensuring smooth operations. Key Responsibilities - Support nursing staff in delivering high-quality care to patients - Assist patients with personal care tasks, including showering, feeding, and mobility support - Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the ward - Stock supplies and ensure the ward is well-equipped - Provide close observation support to patients - Contribute to a smoothly running environment, ensuring the best possible care for patients About the Service You will be working in Ward 24, a busy 19-bed acute general medical ward that specializes in acute stroke care at Christchurch Hospital. About You We are looking for a Healthcare Assistant who is passionate about providing high standards of care to our patients. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and thrive in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
