Our culture emphasizes community, support, and the values of whānau. About Our Role We are currently seeking a full-time Diversional Therapist to join our team. This role involves working 32 hours or more per week with a schedule that includes AM, PM, and weekend shifts. As a Diversional Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing our residents with engaging and varied activities that address their physical, cognitive, social, spiritual, and emotional needs. Your efforts will encourage community involvement and create a truly rewarding experience for both you and our residents. We are looking for someone with a bubbly and enthusiastic personality who enjoys interacting with residents and ensuring they are engaged in activities that match their interests. Your creativity and innovative thinking will be essential in developing new opportunities and activities for our residents. Requirements To be considered for this role, candidates should possess a qualification in Diversional Therapy and have previous experience in the field. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks. You should be capable of leading a team and working collaboratively within a team environment. A full driver’s license is required, and you should either be able to drive a manual van or be willing to learn.
