About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Receptionist to join our Inpatient Receptionist team located at 183 Pembroke Street, Waikato Hospital, Hamilton. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering reception and administrative support in a busy hospital environment.
The ideal candidate will be methodical, highly organized, and flexible, with a strong desire to contribute positively to our team. Excellent customer service skills are essential, as you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors.
Your daily responsibilities will include welcoming patients and visitors, answering phone inquiries, and coordinating with the medical team. You will also assist patients in completing necessary forms and documentation, as well as maintaining a clean and calm reception area amidst a busy setting.
About the Service
The Inpatient Receptionist team is responsible for front desk operations within the wards. This includes greeting, admitting, discharging, and transferring patients, while also managing patient records. Our goal is to ensure the smooth operation of the reception area, providing essential support to healthcare staff and focusing on the care of patients and their whanau.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need the following skills and experience:
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong customer service focus
- Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
- Previous clerical or hospital experience
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills
