About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated administrator to join our Mental Health and Addictions Service. In this role, you will work with a diverse range of individuals and situations, contributing to our mission of maintaining a trusted service for the care of loved ones in need.
Key Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include the accurate and effective management of both administrative and clinical systems and processes. You will be expected to foster positive relationships with tangata whaiora, whaanau, colleagues, and stakeholders. Additionally, you will provide high-level administrative support across our service, which will involve coordinating, organizing, and collaborating on various tasks.
About the Team/Service
Our team is part of the Mental Health and Addictions Service within Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, Waikato. We specialize in offering services to tangata whaiora who are facing serious mental health difficulties, ensuring they receive the support they need.
About You
We are looking for candidates with a minimum of two years of administration experience, preferably in a health or mental health setting. Your background should include knowledge of administrative procedures and systems, developed through training and experience.
Strong written and oral communication skills are essential, along with the ability to build effective relationships with a diverse range of people. Familiarity with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori is a plus, as is a commitment to learning and growing in these areas. You should also be adaptable, willing to multitask, and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of your work. Experience in upholding the principles of Te Tiriti and applying Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches in healthcare will be advantageous.
