About the Role We are currently seeking energetic and motivated Support Workers to join our team in the Nelson Residential Services. We have permanent, part-time, and casual positions available. As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in assisting individuals with various aspects of daily life, enabling them to participate in activities they enjoy, such as swimming and personal care. You will also help with meal preparation, household management tasks, and teaching essential life skills. This position is busy and diverse, requiring you to work shifts in a team environment that provides 24/7 support. Some rosters may offer the possibility of additional sleepover payments. Requirements We are looking for individuals who are passionate about helping others and possess a kind and understanding nature. Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, especially with individuals who have disabilities and challenges. A full driver's license is essential for this role. Candidates should be energetic, outgoing, and capable of thinking creatively to help individuals achieve their goals. Respect for diverse ways of living and cultural awareness is crucial, as the people we support come from various backgrounds with different needs and interests. Flexibility to work overnight shifts, including weekends, is also required. Benefits In return for your dedication, we offer competitive pay rates ranging from $23.50 to $29.10 per hour, along with a variety of shift options. You will have the opportunity to earn while you learn through free training towards NZQA Health and Wellbeing qualifications.
