About the Role We have multiple positions available in Paraparaumu for Support Workers. In this role, you will assist individuals in developing their independence and acquiring essential daily living skills. Your responsibilities may include helping with public transportation, employment, financial management, and meal preparation. Depending on the specific needs of those you support, you may also assist with shopping, cleaning, personal hygiene, and medication administration. Requirements No prior experience in the health and disability sector is necessary; however, we highly value a strong desire to pursue a career as a Support Worker and a positive attitude. We provide full training and orientation for individuals who demonstrate enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Candidates must be available to work flexible shifts, including daytime, evenings, overnight, and weekends. Proficiency in using computers and tablets, alongside strong written and verbal communication skills, is essential. You should also be physically fit to provide the required support and possess a Full New Zealand driver's license or be willing to work towards obtaining one. Benefits We offer a competitive hourly wage ranging from $23.84 to $29.10, depending on relevant qualifications, with opportunities to earn more as you gain additional qualifications. IDEA Services will assist you in achieving Level 2, 3, and 4 Certificates in Health and Wellbeing.
