About the Role
We are currently seeking a part-time permanent team member to join us, working 72 hours per fortnight. The schedule for this position includes:
- Week 1: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
- Week 2: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
This role specifically requires a female, as this is a requirement based on the needs of the individuals we support, in accordance with the Health and Disability Code of Rights and Section 27 of the Human Rights Act 1993.
Requirements
We are looking for someone who possesses the following qualities and qualifications:
- A Passion for People: You should be patient, friendly, and kind, with the ability to understand, communicate, and genuinely connect with individuals.
- Experience: Previous work experience in the Mental Health Sector is essential.
- Empathy and Understanding: A solid understanding of the Enabling Good Lives principles is important for this role.
- Team Player: You should be professional, honest, and reliable, with a flexible mindset that allows you to work collaboratively with others.
- Practical Skills: The ability to assist with personal care tasks, including showering and dressing, is necessary.
- Driver Licence: A Full New Zealand Driver Licence is essential, as driving a MASH van will be part of your responsibilities.
- Relevant Qualification: You should either hold a New Zealand Certificate in Health & Wellbeing or be committed to obtaining this qualification, which will be funded by MASH Trust.
