About the Role
We are currently offering part-time positions in Paraparaumu. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals to develop their independence and daily living skills. Your responsibilities will include helping with public transportation, employment, finances, and meal preparation. Depending on the specific environment, you may also assist with activities such as shopping, cleaning, personal hygiene, and medication administration.
We require flexibility, as you will need to be available for rostered shifts that may include daytime, evening, overnight, and weekend hours.
Requirements
While prior experience in the health and disability sector is not necessary, we value candidates who possess a strong desire to build a career as a Support Worker and who bring a positive attitude. We provide full training and orientation for those who demonstrate enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
Key requirements for this role include:
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and overnight shifts
- Proficiency in using computers and tablets on a daily basis
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Physical fitness to provide necessary support
- A Full New Zealand driver's license or a commitment to obtaining one

We offer a competitive hourly rate ranging from $23.84 to $29.10 per hour, based on your relevant qualifications, with opportunities to earn more as you advance your skills.
