About the Role We have exciting opportunities for Support Workers across the Horowhenua, Kapiti, and Mana regions. In this role, you will assist individuals in developing their independence and acquiring essential skills for daily living. Your responsibilities may include helping clients navigate public transportation, manage employment, handle finances, and prepare meals. Depending on the specific setting, you may also provide support with shopping, cleaning, personal hygiene, and medication administration. Requirements We welcome candidates from all backgrounds, and no prior experience in the health and disability sector is necessary. What we value most is your enthusiasm for pursuing a career as a Support Worker and your positive attitude. We will provide full training and orientation for those who demonstrate a willingness to learn. To succeed in this role, you should have: - Availability for flexible shifts, including daytime, evening, sleepover, and weekend shifts. - Comfort and proficiency in using computers and tablets on a daily basis. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Physical fitness to offer necessary physical support. - A Full NZ driver's license or a commitment to working towards obtaining one. Benefits We offer a competitive hourly wage ranging from $23.84 to $29.10, based on relevant qualifications, with opportunities to earn more as you complete additional certifications.
