We take pride in our dedicated team and are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to join us in maintaining our high standards of service and efficiency. About the Role As the Restaurant Manager, you will play a vital role in overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant. This position is essential for ensuring that both our front-of-house and back-of-house teams work cohesively to provide customers with a memorable dining experience. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring all aspects of restaurant operations while also leading our staff to achieve excellence in service. Key Responsibilities - Plan, coordinate, and monitor the day-to-day operations of the restaurant. - Ensure dining facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, functional, and visually appealing. - Maintain records of stock levels and financial transactions. - Set staff work schedules and monitor performance. - Recruit, train, and supervise staff. - Manage budgets, control costs, and monitor profitability. - Respond to customer inquiries and resolve complaints efficiently. - Collaborate with chefs to plan menus. - Organize marketing activities and promotional events. - Ensure a consistently high standard of customer service is maintained. Requirements - A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience and/or a relevant qualification at diploma level or higher. - Preference for candidates with a sound knowledge of Thai food and experience in a Thai restaurant environment. - Candidates with a Manager’s certificate to supervise the sale of liquor will be preferred. - Ability to perform well under pressure during busy hours. - Strong leadership and communication skills. - Proven experience in managing budgets, staffing, and customer service standards. - Knowledge of food safety and licensing regulations in New Zealand.
