We are currently hiring full-time Aluminum Fabricators to join our team and contribute to various projects nationwide.
About the Role
As an Aluminum Fabricator with Extrastaff, you will be responsible for supporting project work across different construction and fabrication sites throughout New Zealand. This role is well-suited for experienced fabricators who are open to relocating or traveling based on project demands. We offer a competitive hourly wage, guaranteed minimum hours, and the chance to work on a variety of commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate, assemble, and install aluminum components and structures
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings and blueprints
- Operate hand and power tools relevant to aluminum fabrication
- Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and quality standards
- Work across different sites as required by project deployment
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in aluminum fabrication, either locally or overseas
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Proficiency in welding, cutting, and shaping aluminum materials
- A trade qualification or NZQA-recognized experience is preferred
- Capacity to work independently and travel between job sites
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety
Nationwide Opportunity and Travel
While this position is listed in Bay of Plenty, we are actively recruiting for roles that will be deployed across all regions of New Zealand, depending on project requirements. These regions include:
North Island: Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Manawatu-Whanganui, Wellington.
South Island: Tasman, Nelson, Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury, Otago, Southland.
We invite applicants from any of these regions and ask that candidates be willing to travel or relocate as needed. Relocation costs will be covered by the company.
Benefits
- Competitive hourly rate of $24.00 - $28.00
