About the Role
We are seeking a qualified On-Farm Refrigeration Service Technician to join our high-performing team in Southland or Taranaki. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing on-farm milk cooling and tank solutions, ensuring that our dairy operations run smoothly. If you are a hands-on problem solver who enjoys working independently and making a real impact in the field, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
What You Will Be Doing
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced milk cooling and dairy automation systems.
- Providing exceptional on-farm service and after-sales support, acting as a trusted representative of our technical expertise.
- Delivering hands-on training to farmers, helping them maximize the use of their systems.
- Collaborating with contractors, offering technical advice, and assisting with field installations and events such as Field Days.
- Engaging in continuous learning and contributing to the development of training materials and standard operating procedures.
- Reporting market insights, competitor activities, and innovations through our CRM tools.
What You Will Bring
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Trade certification in Refrigeration, Electrical, or Engineering.
- Registration (or eligibility for registration) as an Electrical Service Technician.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a service or technical role, with agricultural exposure being a plus.
- Strong fault-finding skills, a good understanding of systems, and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to relate to and collaborate with others.
- Comfort with technology, including managing your schedule and reporting key insights.
