About the Role
In this role, you will have the opportunity to step into a medical registrar position or continue your journey as a medical registrar. At Rotorua Hospital, you will engage in both general and acute medicine, supported by an experienced team of consultants, house officers, medical students, and nursing staff.
About the Location
Our department features a team of Physicians specializing in General Medicine, with expertise in areas such as Cardiology, Endocrinology, and Infectious Diseases. We also have an outpatient team, specialist nurses, and visiting sub-specialists. Our training programs are accredited by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) for both Basic and Advanced Trainees.
Located in the central North Island of New Zealand, Rotorua is approximately 230 kilometers southeast of Auckland and 80 kilometers north of Taupo. This region is known for its geothermal wonders and beautiful lakes, including Lake Taupo, the largest lake in New Zealand. Rotorua and Taupo offer fantastic opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, and water sports, along with rich experiences of Māori culture.
About You
We are looking for candidates who possess:
- Current registration or eligibility for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. You can verify your eligibility by visiting the Council's website.
- A minimum of two years of post-qualification experience, along with a strong interest in providing acute and general medical care to our community.
